A former teacher turned recruiter who has been recruiting for 17 years and love it! I love the interaction with candidates, supporting them in their career, as well as the opportunity to develop relationships with clients.
I have a strong belief in fairness and creating equity in society. I had my own experience growing up gay which has shaped my outlook on things and has ultimately caused me to set up ProudHR.

After 15 years in corporate marketing, I took the plunge and started my own L&D business to fill a gap I felt as an employee = personal and team development. Now, I'm helping other companies thrive through people.
Always a D&I advocate, I've launched ERGs in every job, creating happier and safer spaces for all queer individuals. Excited to continue the positive change, I joined the ProudHR network.
As a passionate marketer turned business owner, I'm all about making L&D fun and impactful.

Luke Ward (They/Them)
I changed career path a few years ago when I gave up chasing the dream of the West End and started living the dream of HR; totally by accident/divine intervention. I’m a people person and am impelled to change people’s experience of what HR is and how it’s actually v cool.
Being queer and non-binary drives me to ensure inclusive, safe spaces for everyone, and ProudHR is the perfect place to share in that knowledge and love.

Isabella "Izzy" Lister (She/Her)
Having worked in the world of HR & Recruitment for the past 6 years and liaising with people from many walks of life daily, I have discovered my passion for inclusive and diverse hiring.
Joining Proud HR in 2022 was a no brainer, as It is an amazing network for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies to network and most importantly, continuously learn. After the first few events, Tom & I identified that the group was predominantly male heavy. Therefore, I am now an active part in the working group for “Her’s and They” in HR, focusing on female and non binary engagement.

Have been part of Proud HR since the start, and am totally comfortable in my own skin and look to support others through the work we do as a group with the message that it’s never too late to be who you really are, and being openly gay shouldn’t stop you realising your professional or personal potential.

As a gay man, representation and having a sense of community, both at work and outside, have been invaluable to me and this is the reason why I joined ProudHR.
